Hi Tony, would it be possible to have the option to run either a qtconsole or a notebook ?

Hi,

I don't think there's an option to start a notebook attached to an already running kernel at the moment. As far as I know the --existing option that this example uses only works with the qtconsole, unfortunately. You could try asking on the ipython mailing list though.

Ha Ha Ha, eventually my boss agree to buy me a license now. Just want to confirm whether the current code written for IPython 1.2 still works in IPython 3. Thanks a lot
