discontinuous xl range
« on: January 24, 2015, 10:53:41 AM »
Tony

I m trying to use in my Python code an xl range which is not continuous (shifts=A1:A8;C1:C8)
when I assign it to a variable s=xl.Range('shifts').Value
and I read it again it s only showing a the cells A1:A8

is there anything special one needs to do to use a discontinuous range or is it just not possible?

Tony

Hi,

I don't think that is possible I'm afraid - but you could check the Range documentation on msdn (from what you've said, I think you're just accessing the excel Range object using COM, not trying to pass a discontinuous range to a pyxll function?). It will probably be easiest to just handle the different continuous sections of the range as separate ranges I think.

Best regards,
Tony
